Humans (Homo sapiens) are the most complex beings in the evolution on our planet Earth.
The word person is often used interchangeably with human.
I think that, Humans are separate from other animals because, we are capable of doing all of what other individual animals do, but many times larger. We have developed tools and machines to achieve this.
We harness Energy from nature and use it to power various tools and machines and thus extend or increase our capabilities in all walks of life (Ex: Communications, traveling, reasoning, health, art, etc).
Humans are omnivorous, capable of consuming a wide variety of plant and animal material. Humans are the only living beings who use fire and other forms of heat to prepare and cook food. People living in various environments prepare different foods depending on materials available there and they keep trying new foods. Food is an important part of human culture.
Humans are the most adaptable beings. We live in all types of environment on Earth (Forests, Mountains, on ice, Sea coast, dessert, etc). Human bodies have evolved through thousands of years and have natural resistance to much of what nature throws at us every day. This has made humans to live much longer than most other animals.
For most of history, all humans were nomadic hunter-gatherers, but, with the emergence of agriculture, started permanent human settlement. As populations became larger and denser, forms of governance developed within and between communities and a number of civilizations have risen and fallen. Humans have continued to expand.
Humans dream. I think that, because of our dreams, we live in the complex modern day civilization. The events in dreams are generally outside the control of the dreamer, but, sometime the dreamer is self-aware. Dreams can at times make a creative thought occur or give a sense of inspiration.
Discovery and Invention has been a human nature for a long time. Humans have invented many great and wonderful things - which they use both for constructive and destructive purposes - for their growth. But, I think the “worst invention of humans is God”. In the name of God, many fights, battles and wars have taken place in history - both individually and in communities - and many have died. Sadly, even today the people fight in the name of God.
People think individually that they are right in their life. And therefore, they expect others too to be like them (But, they forget that each individual person is different). Sometime, they try to enforce their version of thoughts on others. When others resist, differences arise leading to quarrels and fights.
I feel that, Humans can achieve or do anything; it is just a matter of Time and Money.
