Nature, in the broadest sense, is the physical world (all matter and energy in the universe). "Nature" can refer to the phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general.

This includes all things animal, plant, and mineral; all natural resources and events (e.g., hurricanes, lightning, earthquakes). It also includes the behavior of living organisms, and the processes (e.g., erosion, metamorphism, fossilization) associated with inanimate objects.

Although humans are part of nature, human activity is often understood as a separate category from other natural phenomena.

Nature keeps changing, so, life must continuously keep adapting to survive.

One who loves and observe nature, will marvel at the endless Natural phenomena, keep learning and acquire new skills and become wise. One will understand their place in nature, stop worrying about material things and attain inner peace.

Our planet Earth is the only place in the universe which supports life as we know it. As Mahatma Gandhi has said “Nature provides for everyone’s Needs but not for everyone’s Greed”, we should respect nature and learn to live within the law of nature.

Even though we humans have exploited nature (sometime over exploited) to our own growth, I feel nature will heal itself, given enough time and space. For example,

•    Abandoned settlements have been taken over by the forest or sea or buried in soil, and over time they will become part of nature.

•    Fish and other sea organisms will increase their populations, if we stop fishing for a while each year.

•    Many species of plants and animals have adapted and live along with humans in their settlements.

•    Some sea creature will colonize and flourish on sunken man-made objects and structures.

•    All the waste we dump in landfills or in ocean is recycled by nature.

We survive because of nature. We have attained our place in present time because of our understating and utilizing nature. But our greed is making us think, we humans are ‘Masters’ and we can exploit nature, forgetting that we are also part of it. We can still go a long way if we adopt the attitude “Live and Let Live”.

Because of human activities, some species may require human intervention for their survival. There are some people (both professionals and volunteers) who are dedicated and learning to protect these species.

So, Stop Worrying and Enjoy Nature.
